San Diego Auto Repair

I have used Honest-1 for various repairs and service since they opened in San Diego, and have always been well taken care of. The work they've done has consistently been great, from oil changes to large repairs. Recently, there was an issue re-installing a vacuum pump which led to some major repairs needed on my Mini. They owned their mistake and completely mitigated the problems even though I know it cost them several thousand dollars in parts and labor. They even covered my rental car for the duration of the process. Having had several repairs done for far less than dealer prices, I have been completely satisfied with all aspects and will continue to have my vehicles serviced with them. Kudos to both John (the owner) and Julio (the manager) for taking such good care of this client.

Have dealt with them twice. Once for tires--a good experience. Second time for an electrical problem. They could not fix the problem after keeping the car for 3 weeks. Plus side, they did not charge me. On the minus side, they broke my ignition key, put a big scratch in the right rear 1/4 panel, the car had oil streaks on the hood,windshield and rear deck from being parked under a lift, they greased my carpets for me, failed to replace one of the 4 screws holding in the dash, the battery was dead and I needed a jump start just to get away....then I discovered that it will no longer shift into 5th gear. Maybe I should send them a bill for the damage...

I've been looking for awhile for a new place to take my car and I think I found it...Great customer service, work completed on time, affordable. I will be recommending Honest-1 in San Diego to my friends and family.

You and your crew are the best! They are fast, do perfect and careful work. Honest-1 is much better than where I purchased my CRV.

I always feel taken care and like they do good work without charging you a million dollars. I don't know much about cars but if I've asked them to explain exactly what they are doing to my vehicle and they always take the time to do it!

I am a first time customer who took advantage of the $19.95 oil change coupon and got way more than expected. I made an appointment that was convenient for me and they started work on time. The waiting area and restroom was clean and staff were polite and patient. They finished the oil change in less than an hour which includes a thorough report of listed recommendations without the hard sell to get them done. It is great to know what needs to be done so I can prioritize according to my time and budget. The location allowed me to also send a package and do some shopping in the adjoining mall. This was an efficient hour.
